Didden Village (2007), an architectural artwork by Sjoerd Didden, consisting of an addition on the roof of a former clothing workshop in Rotterdam. Three bedrooms were housed in striking separate little houses, a surreal miniature city as an extension of the skyline. The houses received a coating of bright blue polyurea.
One of the coolest and most bizarre projects we have ever had the pleasure to do, and one we still look back on with great joy and pride! Hopefully, Didden Village will continue to exist for a long time as Sjoerd’s legacy.
Sjoerd Didden passed away on February 21, 2015. Rest in Peace.
